Goals and Objectives
Overall Objective
Reduce plastic pollution in Alexandria by improving the management and recovery of plastic waste within the campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Alexandria, which has 15,000 students.
Specific Objective
Develop a circular and creative economy model from the collection and sorting of plastic waste to the transformation of plastic and its recycling in a Fab lab within the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Alexandria.
Expected Results
- Plastic waste is recovered by establishing a 100m² Fab lab dedicated to plastic recycling.
- The collection and sorting of waste, particularly plastic waste, on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering are optimized. Health prevention actions for
- Health prevention actions for employees, waste collectors, and any actor involved in the collection and sorting chain within the Faculty of Engineering are implemented.
